Budget & Taxes
Work to reduce taxes by forging shared services agreements with other municipalities (Village of Philmont and surrounding towns).  

Transparency / Citizen Involvement
Nurture and support our community advisory committees.  Encourage participation on these committees by town residents who have expertise in focus areas.  Improve transparency by developing a team of local Ambassadors throughout the town, similar to the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, to easily and quickly disseminate information to town residents and to bring residents’ concerns and ideas more quickly to town officials.  Establish a town-wide list-serve to distribute meeting notices and draft minutes, and work to ensure the town website is updated and information posted in a timely fashion.

Small Business 
Work with the town Economic Advisory Committee and the County Economic Development Corporation to attack and retain appropriate small businesses. 

Senior & Youth Programs
Establish and fund a “Youth & Senior Programs” committee to be charged with planning youth-friendly family events for town kids (movie night at the Town Park, sporting events, etc), and social/support programs for our senior residents. 

Environmental Preservation
Work with the Village of Philmont to improve and preserve the Philmont Reservoir (Summit Lake). Seek public-private partnerships and all available grant opportunities to fund clean-up and preservation efforts.

Emergency Services
Work closely with all local Police, Fire, and EMS agencies to develop a thorough understanding of the Town’s Emergency Services concerns and needs, and to ensure the needs of the existing emergency service providers are met.  Improve care to patients suffering serious medical emergencies by supporting EMS first responder programs.
